Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: [DATE]

Because each Experience is composed once and relies on reserved, one-time arrangements with independent Partners, our cancellation terms reflect commitments we make on your behalf. This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions, and the specific terms for your Experience are always set out in your Proposal.

1.Principles

When you confirm an Experience, we immediately reserve people, venues and access that are often unique and non-refundable to us. Our terms aim to be fair: recovering only genuine costs already committed, while being as flexible as those commitments allow.

2.Cancellation by You

To cancel, notify your curator in writing. The amount retained depends on how close to the Experience you cancel. The following is indicative only — the exact terms for your Experience are stated in your Proposal:

Notice before the Experience
Amount retained
More than [60] days
Deposit only
[60–30] days
[50%] of total
[30–14] days
[75%] of total
Fewer than [14] days
[100%] of total

[These tiers are placeholders. Set final periods and percentages with counsel, matching your Partner contracts and local consumer law.]

3.Changes & Rescheduling

Where possible, we will try to move an Experience to a new date rather than cancel it. Rescheduling depends on Partner and venue availability and may involve additional costs, which we will always confirm with you in advance.

4.Cancellation by Uniko

If we must cancel an Experience for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund of amounts paid, or the option to reschedule. Our liability in these circumstances is limited as set out in our Terms & Conditions.

5.Force Majeure

Some Experiences depend on nature — weather, tides and conditions beyond anyone's control. Where an event outside our reasonable control prevents an Experience, we will work to reschedule or adapt it, and will refund any amounts not already committed to Partners. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover such situations.

6.Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within [X] business days. Third-party charges (such as payment processing or currency conversion) may not be recoverable. [Confirm timing and deductions with counsel and your payment provider.]

7.Travel Insurance

Uniko is not an insurer. We strongly recommend that every member holds comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, activities and medical care, appropriate to the Experience.

8.Contact

To discuss a change or cancellation, contact your curator directly or write to hello@uniko.travel.
